About Petstreet PetStreet.co.uk is a social networking website whose members care passionately about all the different animals that share our lives. It´s about celebrating the joys and benefits these animals bring, encouraging compassionate and responsible pet ownership, and campaigning on the issues of animal welfare that we believe in. We are now well on the way to building a huge community of pet lovers - individuals, groups, charities, welfare organisations, lobbying groups and anyone else with an interest in this area. PetStreet was set up by Maurice Melzak, a zoologist and documentary film maker with 25 years´ experience exploring our relationship with the animal kingdom. He is the editor and now works with a team who share his commitment to this project. As a member of PetStreet you can create and manage free web pages, upload photos, videos and information about you and your pets with like-minded pet lovers. The PetStreet team will provide news and opinion on all aspects of the world of companion animals. On PetStreet you can seek the advice of experts like the PetStreet vet and communicate with all the other community members. Just one function of PetStreet is to offer all members a chance to create a group on any subject they chose, and invite other members to join in.. Because we care so much about the thousands of pets languishing in re-homing centres all over the UK, we provide special pages to re-homing centres to help in their valuable work. There are also forums, factsheets and fun in the form of the Pet Idol photo competition. PetStreet.co.uk belongs to its members, so we welcome your thoughts and feedback. feedback@petstreet.co.uk If you have any questions please feel free to contact either the PetStreet editor Maurice editor@petstreet.co.uk or press-officer Cassie, press@petstreet.co.uk. |
