Tiny´s Operations

Tiny´s appointment for her xrays was moved forwad to friday by the vet, as she had had a few infections over the past few weeks and he was concerned.

When I collected her on friday afternoon she had had 2 operations and her xrays.
The outcome was that she has dysplacia (? think I spelt it right), inflammed cysts on her womb and ovaries and a large lump that has gone for hystology(?) to see what it is. We were aware that she had a ´polyp´ in her bowels, near the anus, but until friday noone was aware of the size of it. It took the vet twice as long to remove the lump as it did to xray and remove the ovaries & womb down to the cervix. Needless to say the ´polyp´ wasn´t a ´polyp´. Hopefully by friday 5th we will know what the lump is. Fingers crossed it´s nothing serious.

By Friday evening she was bleeding heavily so we went back to the vet with her, luckily it was just due to the clotting dislodging and causing the stitches in the bowel to bleed fresh. After a couple of clots washing out with the blood, the bleeding slowed and stopped and the vet said she could return home with strict rest. NOT an easy task for Tiny who wanted to go for a walk on saturday morning. lol. but with diazepa(?) and pain relief she soon settled down for the day.

Now we are just waiting for her to have a turn out, and if she hasn´t by 4pm we have to phone the vet to come and see her.
