My blog

Time to expand the menagerie

So I get the call, the call saying there are two chinchillas in need of rehoming, am I able to take them in? So of course I say yes!! I have a cage and all the chinny accessories, so I go and pick them up either this weekend or next weekend.

I´ve failed to mention that a couple of weeks ago I broke my foot falling up my stairs. I´m climbing the walls being stuck inside, with 2 border collies and my line of work I´m used to being outdoors and I´m going stir crazy being inside 24/7!

So these two little chinnys are little ray of light in my life right now! :o)

It is a pain...especially when the weather is nice too! Have just found out that the chins are coming this weekend :o) so I´m very excited now! Even with a broken foot I can still work from home, although this week I´ve found it very hard to concentrate!!

Hi Cally,

thanks for the friend request....
Sorry to hear about your ´accident´ - it´s a pain (pardon the pun!!) being stuck indoors. I know exactly how you feel as I´m an outdoor person too. At moment am involved with the National Dragonfly Survey organised by the BDS. My bit covers the Cotswold Water Park and this is the 2nd of a five year survey. It drives me nuts when I´m ´confined´ for whatever reason so I DO sympathise with you... You could use this time to plan what needs to be done & organise a ´to do´ list on your pc for when you´re mobile again.

The chinnys will be a boost to your recovery & will keep you amused while your foot mends. Hope they come this weekend rather than the next... they are so cute..!! Good luck with them.

Take care
