It´s high time that all such contraptions are done away with across the whole of the EU!. 24 Feb 2009 13:25 The farrowing stalls are awful aren´t they Beck´s.....these sows cannot turn around and have NO stimulation nor exercise...it´s amazing they don´t become aggressive through pure boredom and frustration. The piglet´s may be lucky for now..but if they are male´s they will be culled around 4 month´s old and most sow´s go onto become a breeding machine like their mum´s!!. |
