Has pet idol lost its way?

I have only just joined the site and entered a pic of my bullmastiff, Ruby in the snow - thought it was a bit festive.
Then I looked at some of the pics and some seemed to have some extremely high number of votes - some of them I cannot undertand why? There is a picture of a labradoodle sitting in a yard with a shoe (with not even a title) - no sign of anything festive however has received 440 vote?????
Does anyone know if the voting is verified cos it looks a little strange to me.

I am becoming more and more mystified by the PET IDOL competition. What is the point in asking us to vote on the picture we like and watching the votes go up and up and then -----------see that the winners have only a handful of votes each! One of the winners entered more than the two photos allowed anyway. I think it really has lost the plot! I think you must think up a new comp ED to get some credibility back. It does seem silly in this day and age to get annoyed by such a simple thing ---------but Pet Idol is becoming a joke !!

To put everyone at ease, i have gotten over that miserable day ;) waaaaaay back in june lol am touched by the cheer up responses though :P

I totally agree. It is a bit annoying. I only enter if I have a relevant picture. I don't bother taking pictures especially for it anymore, but people enter irrelivant pictures. Ah well. What can you do. I vote, but I refresh the page if there isn't an option between the 2 pictures that is relevent to the comp. I like things to be fair!

Cheer up though Matt. These things do happen, don't let anything get you down. I know its easier said than done {^_^}

Hi Matt i kind of agree with your comment. My bug is when they put more than the 3 pics allowed on pet idol. Which is,nt being fair on others. Hope you,ve gotton over your miserable day we all get them at times

Is it not possible for IT to delete anything that is not relevant to that particular competition!?
