I dont understand why you would want to do this. Like Vena has said the puppies will not be your 8 year old lab. I honestly think it would be a very silly thing to do.
But if you really want to go ahead with it, think hard about the concequences, your just as responsible as the person who will own the bitch for those puppies, they will need homes and if they arent the right homes they will end up in rescue centre´s or worse. this really isnt a good idea.
I agree with Vena if you want another then drop into a rescue centre there are plenty lovely dogs there hoping for a loving home.

Had you taken the time to read through the dog forums, you would have realised that the majority of PS members are Against indiscriminate breeding.
You want a puppy by your dog !! WHY ?? lt will most likely not be anything like him, different characteristics ect: Plus your dog is not KC registered,so no RESPONSABLE breeder would use your dog, im assuming that you have not had the relevant health checks, to ensure a sound healthy litter, and remember the bitch should have same health checks, and there will no doubt be more than one puppy in the litter have you given thought as to what will happen to all the others ? as the stud dog owner you are equally responsible.
lf you really think you want to go ahead with this, take a trip to your local Rescue Center, look up some on the net and you will see how overflowing they all are, perhaps you should consider getting a puppy from one, not helping to add to the problem.
