for horses: treatment of mud fever

With a wet summer like this, quite a few horses still have itchy legs from mud fever. A good way to get the scabs off is to mix equal parts of vinegar and baby oil and rub into the sores. Once the mixture has helped lift the scabs, then dry and treat with a good antibiotic cream.

i found sudocrem that you use for nappy rash, cleared my horses legs up in two days flat!it doesnt get washed off or melt away easily and forms a waterproof barrier while it heals and keeps skin moisturised.
