Chinchilla

I have a 1 Year old Chinchilla called Chilli. In the past month he has been getting a white substance on both of his eyes. I have been searching the Internet for answers and advice. So far i have been told it could be the roots on his teeth or he could of scratched the lens of his eye. He is eating normally and it doesnt look as tho he is in pain as he is always running around like normal. He has not lost any weight but this substance wont go away. I need some advice on what this is and what I can do??
