As long as your cats have had all their vaccinations and your puppy has had at least one. I would just make sure they do not make too much physical contact

I´ve had puppies before they´ve been fully vaccinated when I´ve already got exisiting cats within my home......I see no reason why at all....the two should be kept seperate as cat´s don´t pose any real health risk to puppies and all animals have a natural resisitance to many things before they are even vaccinated,so I´m not sure who is saying this to you,but I´m pretty certain that I have never come across this before and have never heard of any dog/puppy catching something from cats when introduced into their new home.

Keep all cat litter trays clean and disinfected and all feed and water bowls regularly washed....good hygiene is the key to all households where pets and indeed children too are involved,but not being able to bring a pup into a house where there are already cats is not something that I´ve ever come across ever....I hope that help´s put your mind at ease...all the best now!.
