Doggy UpdateHi all, should be in bed now but i´ve not been on for abit so thought I´d update my pals on here. After one of the worse weekends ever last weekend in our rescue with one of the pounds we work with begging us to take dogs, dogs about to be pts and fosters full to overload. Something wonderful seems to have happened. My Delightful Doris has found the most wondeful forever home. She´s going on Sunday and it´s going to break my heart but they are the best people with a lab for her to play with so she´ll be very happy. Winnie is fine with woman but will not go anywhere near men if a woman is not around and whilst out walking I bumped into a dog trainer/ behavourist we see sometime and he´s offered to help her - for free!!!! She´s spending all day Thursday with him. We managed to get two staffys into foster and find them home´s almost immediately (unheard off) and then a staffy bitch was handed in and she went to a new foster who´s fallen madly in love and is keeping her. (One came from being chained in a garden all day and has gone to live with a lady millionaire and her staffy bitch!!!) Lennox our big 6 month American Bulldog has found a home and the phone has been going mad with enquiries. We´re very aware that at this time of year we need to be careful about making sure these dogs are not Christmas dogs and did in fact turn a lady away who had travelled all the way from Essex to West Yorkshire to meet Lennox as we had genuine concerns but the majority of people who have contacted us are genuine dog lovers. We´re all absolutely knackered but extremely happy. And yes before you all ask i did take in an extra one due to the crisis but knew that Doris was going so we would just be extremely full for just one week. Have a look at my profile and say hello to Curly Clyde.
