Victims of the festive season?

Today I went to do some last minute Christmas shopping, only to see a crowd of people.
Going to see what all the fuss was about, I saw something that really made my blood boil- three reindeers in the middle of the town center, in a tiny fenced off area that couldn´t have been more than 3 square meters big, hardly able to move, surrounded by people with children shoving their hands through the fencing. It made me think- after the festive season, what happens to all these reindeers? No-one really thinks about them after Christmas is over.

No, I went to Corby Town Center. Seems its happening all over the country.. why do people find this entertaining? To watch the (clearly frightened/uncomfortable) animals and possibly make them even more frightened?

You didnt happen to go into Durham City Centre for your shopping did you Vicki, just this is exactly what I saw when I was there last week....2 reindeer in a tiny pen with just enough room to turn many sheep crammed in one. and a huge cow in another then a poor sad donkey in another and the crowds of people there it was horrendous.
