Samoyeds Wolf Impressions I am wondering why my Samoyed periodically does her impression of a Wolf and sits in the garden quite happily howling to herself This happens perhaps 3 or 4 times a month. for just a few minutes. I Live only 50 yards from Paignon Zoo and I am wondering whether she smells the other animals there. I have even seen another Samoyed on Utube doing exactly the same thing WHY ??????? To answer your question, though this is only what I have read, when I lost my retriever and was finding out about different breeds, I was half convinced to get a Samoyed, as they are gorgeous. Then I read up on them on the internet and found the information that they are stubborn and difficult to train, and that they HOWL a lot, especially when left alone. We would not have suited each other´s lifestyle, so I got a newfoundland instead. 17 Jan 2009 13:40 Member Removed I have a very different type of dog with Blossom she howls sometimes and its very funny I must make a video sometimes when out walking she gets fussed over and loves it but if someone walks past her she sits down and gives them a good howling its the weirdest thing that noise coming from a small dog I suppose in Tammys case its a wolf thing she is a gorgeous dog. 17 Jan 2009 10:49 The problem with Tammy and the Idea that she howls when she hears things is that she is 90% Deaf !!!
