Here we go again -- GillM vv RSPCAAin´ they got nowt else better to do wiv their time than hound a disabled lady breeder? Got a note shoved in mailbox, saying they had been, but no-one home, so could i please call and make an appointment for them to come AGAIN, to update themselves? Yeah, rite. Here we go again........ From the topic: Comments Post a comment in this discussion: 02 Jun 2009 21:37 After the animal samaritans and others rescued 204 Yorkshire Terriers and 37 cats from a Puppy Farm in West Sussex that were in diabolical conditions (see BBC or Celia Hammond Website) I am glad that they do checks on breeders and people with large amounts of animals so that hopefully that sort of thing cannot happen again. Inspectors have to do their jobs to prevent such events and a call out for nothing ... is better than a call out of a serious nature . Would we all sit about moaning that Baby Ps mum was harrassed by social workers, probably not! I should think if someone is breeding animals for sale they are receiving income and running a business - would that not affect their entitlement to disability benefits? 26 Mar 2009 08:38 what other organisation would get away with harassing folks? They visit on a spurious made up thing, then say that they "might drop in again" so you always have the fear hanging over you. I have just been on the reciving end of a visit and it was stated that they thought I might not be coping due to my state of health and finances. That´s it, just the fact that I am registered disabled, and therefore getting a disability benefit and have a lot of animals so in their minds, I must sit in the house thinking how awful my lot is, while my animals *must* be neglected, living in squalor and starving. Well I don´t and they aren´t! IIRC some chap in Germany once had an idea that disabled people were worthless. Now then.....what was his name.....? er Adolf somebody or other. And way back then, folks were terrified of a knock on their door by uniformed men. That´s according to my elderly German born mother. 14 Mar 2009 10:32 They´ve been. and they seem happy with my set up. so that´s good. They did say that they "May" want to visit again in the future, just to be sure "in our own minds", but otherwise all ok. So that´s another worry over - for now. And the ACO has actually put her name down on my Kitten List, for a kitten when they come available! Hows about that then? 10 Mar 2009 15:03 gill tell them to p*** off i would nosey gits that they are lol 07 Mar 2009 11:12 i have had the rspca and even tho they know its a waste of their time they do have to follow things up but i would ask them when does it become harrassment?? |
