He was a bit of a nuisance as he couldn´t really handle all five at once when out with them and it could be intimidating. If he left a couple behind they would spend their time howling like wolves. It got quite noisy when they would all bark and the garden was often smelly and messy with flies. In his case, he shouldn´t have had kept five LARGE dogs in a small town house with a SMALL garden. I personally do not get animal breeders , they take so many forms - there are very good ones interested in welfare and preserving rare breeds - to the very bad, where the animals are just stock and they don´t care what what home they get. or what their conditions are like. I do feel sorry for you - you are in a very awkward position. Perhaps the council should enforce their rules on new tenants and make them sign their two pet only tenancy agreement, so that NEW tenants understand that if they break the agreement they or animals can be removed. The council should work something out whereby tenants with old agreements are met and they agree to not replacing pets until they are within the agreement - it could easily be enforced with microchips to check the id of the pets. 17 Apr 2009 07:01 Please read the notes on the following link: http://www.tameside.gov.uk/licensing/dogbreeders/guidancenotes 14 Apr 2009 12:54 I wonder if the Council are using general regulations about dog breeding establishments? I think that if you have more than two breed bitches you have to be registered as a commercial premises, and this way not be in line with Council policies for their tenants. Do you breed your dogs? 13 Mar 2009 11:59 we have a story now on the yorkshire evening post my girls are not a nusinance and i am now waiting for them to prove they are which they are not http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/Leeds-tenants-face-pet-ban.5069193.jp |
