Fish tank needed for elderly peoples residential home!!

Dear Members,

Im currently looking for a tropical fish tank for a elderly residential home in west yorkshire, i have recently set up a 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 foot tropical fish tank in residential home where my partner works and already this has boosted the moral of the elderly people who are living there. So we are now looking at setting up another tank in the other ward of the care home to help boost moral of the unfortunate ladies on the terminal cancer ward.

If anyone has or knows of anyone who has a tropical fish tank that they would kindly like to donate to the cancer ward, preferable with everything ie filter, pebbles, heater & light around the same size of 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 or bigger, this would be amazing for the ladies on the ward.

I live in Bradford, West Yorkshire so as close to the area as possible, but please leave replies as i can always get my partner to drive to collect the tank, if further out than Bradford.

Many Thanks for your time

Hi Roxy
Our local Hospitals childrens wards, had the tank fish and full set up and monthly check ups on the tank ,( water tests, filter cleaning ), all donated by one of our local pet stores, it might be worth you asking some local to you. I should think on a cancer ward, it would be better too start with new. If no offers ,are you a member of freecycle, were people pass things on they no longer want and offer their items as a gift to people who request from their add or you put a wanted add on the freecycle site. All done to stop things ending up in a landfill.
Good Luck
