If she is struggling to pass urine then the enlarged abdomen may be due to an enlarged bladder, rather than the ´traditional´ cause of bloat, which is a gas filled stomach. However, it would be unusual for a female dog to have difficulty urinating. She may need to be seen today, or she may be fine until tomorrow, but I cannot advise you on that. If she has had this problem before and is not feeling well, then you should contact your vet, discuss her condition and see what they say. Cat |
