Hi Gemma,

The advice below is excellent, I don´t think I can really add to it. Just take him outside often, stay with him and always praise him when he does the right thing. Ignore any accidents in the house and be conistant!

Good Luck!

I have just started training my little 7 week old and I have found that as soon as he starts to circle around I pick him up and pop him outside and he does his business. Also as others have suggested to take him out as often as you can, such as after meals, play and about 1/2 an hour after food I have discovered that is the best time for a number 2.
Hope this helps

Hi there,
Take the little one out into the garden as often as you can you can to give him toilet opps. He is very very young at the mo so take it slowly you could introduce a word such as "wee wee´s" and remember lots of praise when he "proforms" out side!!! Bless him.
After his nap´s, meals or play are good times to go out into the garden with him as his bladder will be so tiny it won´t hold much at all so little and often will soon help him to get the idea - bless him-
Im sure you don´t but never make a big deal when he "goes" in doors as this may confuse and scare him and he may not feel comfortable to do his toilets in front of you for fear of being told off!!!!

Don´t be put off if he comes back in after you have been in the garden with him for what seems like ages and then does a wee rite on the floor, you´ll soon get there with patients and your other dog will prob help show him the ropes!!!!
Also look out for sign´s like him cricling or crying these may indercate hes feeling uncomfortable and needs to relieve himself so take him out side and use your word. Also If he does "proform" outside after you have given him his praise its a good idea not to take him straight back inside maybe play with him in the garden for a 5 mins or so!!!!!

Sorry this is turning into an essay lol!!!!!!
I have seen the pictures of your little one he is STUNNING!!!!!!

OH yes one more thing NEVER clean up his accidents with bleach or as it will react with the amiona in his wee and will make him use the same spot again. You can buy special sprays from the pet shops that remove every trace of the smell and also biological washing powder is good to use on carpets where little accidents have been!!!!!!

Good luck and keep us up dated with his progress!!

Hi Gemma put your puppy outside and stay with him thats most important as if you leave him on his own all he will think about is coming back inside to you, take him out as soon as he wakes up most pup´s sleep often so take him out every time he wakes up, after ever meal and after bouts of playing, praise him every time he goese, dont scold him if he has an accident indoors at 8 weeks he has very little control oner bowels or bladder so it is going to happen, just keep taking him out and he will soon learn.
