My puppy shakes

Hi all,
Well I have a gorgeous 7 week old Jack Russell puppy and since bringing him home yesterday he seems to have settled in fine. Today I have noticed that he is trembling/shaking quite a lot and I am rather worried. He is very bright and playful so doesnt seem off colour.
Any advice would be great!

Also what age do I start his needles?

Hi Natalie,

Jack Russels are well known for their quivering behaviour and it is rarely an indication of a problem, especially if they are otherwise well. I always think it is a combination of them being an excitable breed and the fact they tend to have well developed muscles. Keep an eye on him and do ask your vet when you take him for his vaccinations, which should be when he is eight weeks old, but there is unlikely to be a problem.
