That is a possibility Patricia, there is no way id bequeath my dogs to the rspca, the advert is deceiving as it gives the impression they will look after your dog for the rest of its life, not so !!!

The RSPCA now run a scheme where owners leave them there dogs in there will ( with a nice donation of course )to them and they make sure they get a nice home.......I wonder if this was the case here, it´s obviouse how much care they take about finding the right home and then when it doesn´t work out don´t want to know, I do hope GSD rescue can help this poor dog how awful for a much loved pet to end up in this situation.
A lady I know fairly well rang me rescently and while chatting told me how relieved she was the RSPCA now do this scheme, she went on to say she had left them her dog plus £5,000, having told her a few horror stories and pointed her in the direction of The Dog´s Trust she rang a week later to say she had changed to The Dogs Trust.

Ditto Francois comments here and well done Jennie, for managing to find this dog a suitable home....it clearly should never have been put into this position in the first place.

Well,i dont think the RSPCA have a leg to stand on after refusing to take her back.they would have to go to court and i dont think they would want to.

Thats great news, but i always presumed when you Adopted a dog it always belonged to the Rescue it was adopted from, seems this is not the case !!!!!!!!!

if the RSPCA dont want her, which they dont ,we have found her a home with one of our members.

what a shame looks like another one for the rescue centre cant believe they just handed over that dog so easily. You would think with all the bad publicity they are getting lately they would pull their socks up to win back the publics support but with this and the story on poor Pheobe its not the case.

Obviously they did not have the dogs welfare at heart, only the £ notes.
