Oh, Gulliver!!

Big sigh! I´ve spent the last hour washing Gulliver´s feathers to try and get them as white as possible. I kept offering him a bucket of fresh water in a clean bucket, but he didn´t drink. When his feet were as clean as they get, I turned him back out in the field and the first thing he did was go and drink from the scabby field drinker, inches deep in mud. Grooooooooooooooooooan.

Any funny anecdotes about your little monkeys?

Oh how frustrating Vicky......it´s maddening isn´t it ??..you turn them out all spick, span and gleaming and within minute´s they are having a good roll and stand up looking muddy, bitty and with tangled manes and tails.....then they snort down their noses at you and whip round and trot off to get their heads stuck into some grazing......another hours grooming down the pan! (LOL).

yes i know the feeling, having washed my horse fred last week he was a bit damp but looking very black and shiny and pleased with my just over an hours work!i put him in the field where he went straight down and covered himself in the brownest stickiest mud and sheep poo having a lovely roll!even his face was brown!he has 4 white feathers which were impossible to get white i just couldnt get the yellow out!so i had no option but to shave them all off and start again but he actually looks great and very white now so im leaving them shaved for the summer!
