Cat Fur

Hiya,

I have recently noticed that my cats fur is looking rather dull and has what looks like flakes of skin in the fur near her tail. She is a long hair cat and her fur is normally bright and very shiny. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? She isn´t on new food and nothing has changed in the household recently so I´m not sure what to try.

Thanks
Emma

I use frontline, in fact I recently gave her the monthly dose and I never miss a dose, I will de-flea the house just to make sure and get her some de-wormer. Does anyone know if the spot on the back of the neck de-wormers work?

FLEAS FLEAS FLEAS FLEAS....... dont be fooled that if she is indoor(which you didnt say) she will not get fleas they can come in on your feet or even friends visiting that have pets they can also lay dormant for up to 9 months untill they find a host, yuck i no, the signs you have given suggest this is what it is and this is the time of year they are at there worst dont waste your mony on cheap products buy frontline it is the best its all i would recomend or use. ir take her to your vet and get it verified that she has fleas then they will frontline the cat for you but if she does have them she may also get worms due to grooming and ingesting the fleas. lastley make sure you treat your house as well as your cat to stop the problem returning.. her coat should be back to normal after a couple weeks after treatment.. hope you get her sorted, nettie xxx ps humans can be bitten by fleas also and be affected by worms from a cat especialy children so the sooner the better . xxxx hope to hear from you soon xxxxxxx
