I think you mean ´Cushings Disease´, which is one of the most common hormonal diseases seen in dogs. It is caused by an increase in production of natural steroid in the body.

Cushings disease, or Hyperadrenocortisism to give it is proper name, mainly affects older dogs between the ages of 8 and 12 years. The most common symptoms include, drinking and urinating more, a pot-bellied appearance, thinned skin, muscle weakness and poorly healing wounds. It is diagnosed by special blood tests and is treated using daily capsules.

Left untreated Cushings is a very serious condition but the medication for it is very effective and can mean the dog leads a relatively normal life with a normal life span.
