My Puppy Is Weazing!!!!

Hi My 4 month old Beagle Puppy Ruby, sometimes weazes and it sometimes feels as if her chest is rattling what could this be? has she got a cold? she has been vet checked and had all vaccines.

Hi Jennifer,

It is difficult to say whether there is a problem with your puppy or not but certainly any signs of illness in young animals should always be taken seriously.

If a dog is suffering from a chest infection, they will usually have symptoms including a cough, a nasal discharge, be off their food and be generally very poorly in themselves. However, they will often start with just a cough and maybe be a little quiet.

If you are concerned then the best thing to do is to contact your vet, describe his symptoms and ask their advice.
