Hi Connie,

If she is limping then it means she is in pain. It is very common for cats to be injured when they fight and they will often develop nasty abscesses under the skin or be very bruised. As it has been a week and she still isn´t better, then you should take her to your vet. At the very least she is likely need need some pain relief and maybesome anti-biotics.

Hi Connie

My male cat Toby has fights from time to time and ends up hobbling around for a week or so having received a good old wack from the other cat. Often it´s just a case of keeping an eye on them to see that the hobbling doesn´t go on for too long However, it´s probably a good idea to give him a thorough check over as well to see if he has any other wounds. When fighting, cats lash out at the chest area and it´s not uncommon for them to have wounds there. If your cat is still limping next week I´d run her to the vet as they will make sure she is definately ok.

Why don´t you post your question on Cat the vets page to see what she thinks.

Good luck.
