taming a ferret

iv just rehomed a ferret from a person that used it for ferreting and no longer wanted it i just wanted to no how u tamed it has it as hardly been handled its a 2 year old boy and when u go to handle it it turns to bite hope some1 can help me please

Hi Sarah,

I am afraid I don´t know anything about this subject but I would imagine a ´softy, softy´ approach would be best. Try to gain his trust and don´t push any interaction unless you are confident you won´t get hurt. I notice that you have posted this in the other forums, hopefully some of our members will be able to help you, we have several who are experienced ferret owners.
