Animal Behaviour / Care Home Study CourseI´m thinking of trying to retrain in a hope to one day being able to work with animals. i was wondering if anyone knows of any good animal behaviour home study courses out there (preferably not too expensive as i´m dead skint, lol), or any animal care courses? i´ve found this animal care diploma course http://www.animal-job.co.uk/animal-care-course.html and wondered if anyone has done it or done one similar and what their opinions are of the course outline From the topic: Comments Post a comment in this discussion: 26 Oct 2010 15:21 Before paying anything check out the accredited courses http://www.abtcouncil.org.uk/ http://www.apbc.org.uk/info/training_courses 16 Aug 2010 17:10 This one is cheap: http://www.dogtraining-online.co.uk/courses.html I am saving up to start the degree course run by the Cambridge Institute at Middlesex University. It is very expensive, but worth it I think. 17 Aug 2009 08:53 thanks carole. i would love to do a TTouch course but to become a qualified practitioner you have to do a 2 year course and attend 5 or 6 5 - 7 day retreats costing about £400 each! unfortunately with working full time i just couldn´t fit that in...let alone afford it! shame though as i´d love to do TTouch! 16 Aug 2009 17:35 Member Removed Hi Sarah, I have looked at this and it looks excellent value for money but I would be very careful.....find out a bit more if you can before parting with any cash. The only other course I have seen, was the Tellington Touch one. Maybe Cat the vet may know more about it and whether the qualifications you get are worth the paper they are written on or she may know of other ones. Hope that helps a bit. Will email you tomorrow, hope you having a great weekend x |
