Breeding Giant Contis

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is an age limit on breeding giant conti bunnies? I know there is with g.pigs and was wondering if rabbits are the same.

Hi Caz,

I have to confess, this is not a subject I know a lot about. However, I have done some research and the general opinion is that a giant continental rabbit should be bred by 3 years old at the latest.

Probably the best thing for you to do is to try to contact an experienced giant rabbit breeder and discuss things with them. They should be able to give you good advice, not only on the right time to breed but how to pick the right rabbits and what pitfalls there may be.
