Title14 month old doberman that shakes and wont lie down even to sleep is also under weight!! what could be causing these problems? From the topic: Comments Post a comment in this discussion: 08 Feb 2010 15:41 Dave, Your dog sounds like he could be very poorly, particularly if he is losing a lot of weight and seems bad in himself. Again, you should take him to see your vet. Cat 08 Feb 2010 15:40 Hi Sharron, There could be many different things which might be causing these symptoms. How long have they been going on? How long has he been slim, has he always been this way or has he lost weight recently? Does he seem to be painful? Does the shaking affect his whole body or just a part of it? Is he lame or can he exercise normally? If the shaking and refusal to rest have started recently then he may have simply strained himself but it could indicate more significant issues such as neck problems. Dobermans are a breed which is prone to a disease called ´Wobbler Syndrome´ which is a problem with the spine in the neck and can cause them to have a wobbly gait and also some pain. You need to take him to see your vet as soon as possible. Luka eats and drinks well but is looking very sick. |
