calling all pet owners with ANY kind of pet with ANY kind of problem

Dear Ed & All

We definitely don´t want anyone to look silly at all. I approached the Ed a couple of weeks ago out of courtesy initially to ask if I could post on your site rather than just doing it and not asking. Frankly, I have pets of my own that are wonderful and well cared for but they can and often do embarrass from time to time. As for wanting people with pets who don´t know how to care for them - well that´s an opinion that you´re welcome to have but it couldn´t be further from the truth. This kind of generalisation and negativity is niether helpful or what I expected. We´ve got some really great animals and equally great responsible owners for the show whom we´re helping, but we´re still looking. We aim to help and also educate the general publis. Also we never assume that owners haven´t tried to find a solution but are maybe stumped or haven´t found one, or at their wits end because they´ve tried everything. For those of you who would like to find out more about it then please feel free to call me. I just wanted to make it absolutely clear that the assumptions and opinions outlined in the post below are simply not the case.

To be honest I have been approached by this team before. The sort of stories they want would not be found in the pets of members of this site as they want pets owned by people who dont know how to care for them or who dont ask other people for help or advice. And they want you to look silly too.

My pets are PURRFECT thanks! Infact they are superintelligent - my cat has learnt to wake me up by pawing my eyelids - so if my eyes open I am awake - for food she touches my mouth and if I am chatting on the phone too long she has been known to give me a slap - !!! She knows lots of words. My other cat likes things that work ...toys, phones, buttons, washing machine etc ... he does a "dance". Both watch tv.
