Cesar´s work with the American Humane Association.
´American Humane Association´s Humane Dog Training Symposium´.

Cesar is proud to announce his planned participation in the American Humane Association Humane Dog Training Symposium later this year. The goal of the gathering is to improve the lives of companion animals and strengthen their relationships with the humans who care for them. Together with other established animal organizations and canine professionals, we hope to ensure that pet owners receive accurate information about what constitutes effective training and appropriate treatment of animals.

Yes...I watched him...I don´t normally watch the Show as a rule because I´m watching the ´Dog Whisperer´ on Nat Geo from 7pm till 9pm (LOL)...but when I heard he was on,I watched it just for him - to be fair,he didn´t get much air time (do interviewees ever ?) and I was pleased that he got to explain how he does his work and from what approach he´s coming from!.

I also liked that he stressed that his shows are not ´How to do it´ shows but an example of what he as professional does and what examples of animals he work´s with - he also said that anybody should consult a ´professional´ and NOT attempt his techniques (so relating to some of the critism that´s he often come´s under from some people & animal rights).

Interestingly enough a little while ago,Cesar was approached by the ´American Human Association´ who questioned some of his methods......Cesar invited them to his Dog Psychology Centre in California and they spent a day with him watching him work with his dogs and incorperating his methods as he did so for each individual case - the result was that they couldn´t find fault with what he did and have now gone as far to work with him with many issue´s surrounding dogs (I´ll add the full info on that in a moment) - but as has been mentioned before on a post, his methods are not to everybody´s liking but one cannot be failed to be impressed by his natural ability to bond and work with animals....people like him along with Horse Whisperer´s ´Monty Roberts´ and ´Pat Parelli´ are sheer amazing and dedicated people that go back to the natural way and behaviour of animals,in order to successfully work, achieve results and rehabilitate the creature......I find that truly inspiring and it has certainly made me question how I´ve been taught and trained over the years (both with horses & dogs) I can tell you.

For some reason he didn´t seem relaxed as he usually is. Maybe the "critics" are getting to him.
