Update on Bruce, The Seized Northern Ireland Dog

Thanks to Frankie, who commented an update on Bruce, the dog who has been incarcerated in council kennels in Northern Ireland having been seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act for, apparently looking like a Pit Bull type dog (not for ever actually having done anything remotely dangerous, purely for looking like a type of dog). Frankie writes:
(response from) david brown at north down council today re bruce has said;

‘A further appeal is due to be heard in the County Court on Tuesday 9 March 2010.’

So, please keep your fingers crossed for Bruce.

Keep his name and his story in circulation.

Please make sure his plight is known around the world.

Northern Ireland, the world is looking at you. You MUST do the right thing and ensure you correct your law to bring it – at least – in line with the rest of the United Kingdom via the 1997 amendment, you must recognise that this dog and his family have suffered too much already and you must see it that he is released back to his owner without further delay.
