Oscar the dog discovers my nan after a fallMy nan has dimentia and and has suffered a few mini strokes lately leaving her a little week. She lives with my aunt and their family, they´ve had to turn the dining room into a bedroom so my nan doesn´t have to use the stairs. The other day my cousin was getting ready for work at around 5am, she went to let the dogs out into the back garden before she left but Oscar the dog wouldn´t leave the door to my nans room, he kept barking. My cousin then went in to check all was ok and discovered my nan on the floor! The bed is hooked up to a pressure sensor and if she´s off the bed for more then ten minutes it should alert a call centre which then rings the house so we´re unsure what went wrong. Thank goodness for Oscar though bless him! Thank you Guy 08 Apr 2010 13:19 The fall left her with a bruise which covered a large section of her face but she´s still got her sense of humour :) It was her 80th yesterday, the whole extended families going to throw her a party. 08 Apr 2010 09:45 Bravo Oscar.....your Nan was indeed very lucky to have had him around.......I also wish her a very speedy recovery following her fall. 08 Apr 2010 09:07 Well DONE Oscar ...
