Take a look and see any similarities. Week 1 No signs Week 2 Sow may start drinking more Week 3 Sow will start gaining weight, there will be a tightening of the abdomen muscles. Week 4 An experienced breeder will be able to feel small foetuses Week 5 Sow usually looks noticeably pregnant, taking on a rather rounded appearance. You will be able to feel the outlines of the foetuses. Week 7 You will be able to feel ´quickening´ this is when the babies kick Week 9 It may become difficult for the sow to move around but she should still be active and eat and drink as normal. The pelvic bones will separate sometime during this week Week 10 The babies will be born Make sure the female is given lots of lettuce, carrots and so forth. She will be eating much more now. hope this helps you the dad can stay with mum but has to be removed quickly as she can get preggers again just hours after giveing birth 24 Jun 2010 19:10 thanks noo, at work we have guinee pigs 2 of them and tthe boss has decided it would be nice to put the boy in with the girl and now i think she is pregnant. bad idea i think 24 Jun 2010 18:53 63-74 days approx 2 and a half months. depending on the size of the litter she is having. the longer the gestation, the less pups she will have a guinea pig can have up to 8 babies in one litter. 24 Jun 2010 18:44 whats getstation period and how many can they have in one litter? |
