copeing with the loss of a pet hi guys as some of you know ive lost 4 of my babys this year when i loose a pet i dont cry i am filled with deep sorro and i do get upset and do shed a tear when i finally ralise that they are gone ( am it same when a human passes away i dont cry untill im at the funeral ) .... the fact i belive in rainbow bridge helps when i do loose a pet how do you cope , how do you find comfort ...when your much loved pet passes is thare something you do that helps you sorry if this subject upsets anyone i will delete it if you wont me From the topic: Comments Post a comment in this discussion: 08 Aug 2011 16:56  i do the same when i found out my pet guinea pig had died i couldnt cry until the burrial and then i cryed for ages and ill never forget my babys(pets) that hav passed! RIPxxx 08 Jul 2010 19:04  i have tigers photo framed in a photo frame and lots of other photos of him he was my 1st pet i try to get on with every day life a first it was hard as i cryed for days tiger is dead 10 years this year so the years i still think of him of every day 08 Jul 2010 18:56  I have lots of videos to I do find them hard to watch without getting upset but they are happy memories that i will be able to watch someday 08 Jul 2010 18:52 i have a memory box liz it has my dogs first collers and leads in it and pics of the day i got them and i have made DVDS with them on it i add stuff to that all the time 08 Jul 2010 18:43 I still have my late pets collars leads etc and a brush with tammys hair still in I think I need to let go of that little lot sometime 08 Jul 2010 18:41 I still grieve for all my late pets and more so for Tammy as she was taken so suddenly and unexpectedely.I miss them all so much and its not easy to talk to people about it they think your mad, oh its only a dog I use to get, only another animal lover knows how it feels.Most of my pets lived to a good age so when they passed that was the normal way of things but was still very hard to deal with.When Tammy died I was ill, bordering on a breakdown I couldnt eat, sleep, work,or function normally my oh was worried and after two weeks like that I went out and got Blossom to help me get back on track and it worked for me It wouldnt be for everyone as you cant replace one with the other and I didnt want to do that I just wanted some normality back in my life and its all worked out fine I adore Blossom but know shes not Tammy and I love her for her little self.Losing a pet can leave such a gap in your life theres not anything that can fill it for me that was another dog. 08 Jul 2010 18:28 Member Removed yes noo I have lots of photos & have snipping of fur from my beloved Zara my wonderful first disabled helping dog 08 Jul 2010 18:24 Member Removed I cope by keeping busy but when I have free time that´s when I end up crying over a lost pet |
