Effipro vs Frontline

Im about to try out the new Effipro flea treatment on my cats and dog to see how it works. Am I making a mistake?

Iv looked through reviews online and currently it’s a split verdict in my opinion on whether it works as well as Frontline. Iv been using Frontline on my pets since they were weeks old but the cost comparison between that and Effipro is pretty big.

1 years supply for Jess with Effipro is £37.83 and with Frontline its £58.08 but I don’t want to risk Jessie health just quick saving.

Tina & Cat,

Thanks for your responses!
That was the impression I got as they both use fipronil but some of the forums mentioned that Frontline had something in it, which made the flea sterile so before they die they cant lay any eggs. Iv put it on Jess and both of the cats - so far so good. They all have fleas at the moment which they got while I was away so I have a fight on my hands.
I really do hope it works. Thank you both for the reassurance.

Hi Sam,

Frontline and Effipro contain the same active ingredient so they are essentially the same product, just produced and packaged by different companies. So, it should work just as well as Frontline and shouldn´t be of any detriment to your pets.

I used Effipro this month on all my 6 dogs & 2 cats, as you have said front line is now getting very expensive, my pets have not shown any discomfort at all, best of all no sign of any fleas either - so in short will be using Effipro again.
