Titledoes anybody know what you can put on dog paw pads if they have frost bit and red and sore From the topic: Comments Post a comment in this discussion: 07 Dec 2010 19:28 You can use something called Paws wax it is very easy to use and looks like a tin of shoe polish, all you do is wipe the dog´s paws on it before going out. I t gives protection against the cold floor and also improves their grip. I don´t know if you can use it on damaged paws though. If you´re going to be out for over an hour you may need to reapply it. Hope your dog is not in too much pain. Actual frostbite is very, very serious and can lead to gangrene. Don´t chance it - ask a vet. 04 Dec 2010 17:15 going get doggie boot for him weather bit of a nightmare in dundee with snow and ice how tinsel and her sisters getting on 04 Dec 2010 15:49 you can also buy proper paw resin but vaseline will stop the snow from sticking 04 Dec 2010 09:10 Make sure you always wash his feet after walk in warm water, you could also trim hair around feet and can put on some baby oil or Vaseline before going out, that helps stopping the snow sticking, if they are really bad might be worth getting some doggy boots. |
