TitleCat im so sorry to bother you but i am very concerned about a friend who became very concerned about his cat who he had from a rescue centre 4 months ago,she started to rub her bottem and was unable to go to the toilet. The vet squezed her anal gland and sent her home, the next day the cat became swollen couldnt walk sit down,so back to the vets, he said something might be wrong with her lymph glands,so he took her in for the night to do blood tests,he also stated he would do an exploritor examination which would cost £1000.My friend agreed because he wanted to give his pet a chance. It took the vet untill 7 30pm the next day to operate on his pet.His pet died at 5pm the next day. I know this is a hard question for you but i feel the vet has been negligent,if you feel unable to answern this query please could you please let me know who we can contact ,tThank you so much and im sorry to put you in this predicument. If you are concerned the case was not handled as it should have been the first thing you must do is talk to the vet directly and ask them to explain to you what happened and why they did what they did. If you are still unhappy at that point you should put your concerns in writing and you can contact the RCVS for help, who are the governing body for veterinary surgeons. Cat |
