Hellooooooooooooo! (hellooooo helloooooo helloooooo) - ooer an echo! What happened to this place, it used to be so lively?
Just thought I´d share something rather unlikely with you all, as part of a church team, I won a quiz at the weekend. We won a half bottle of wine each - Blossom Hill Merlot - mmmmm it was good I drank it last night. We called ourselves the Belles of St Mray´s and I was the youngest, which is why we only managed 3 and a half points out of 10 on the last round which was music. No problem with Glenn Miller and Moonlight Serenade, or Flanagan & Allen with Hang Out Your Washing On The Siegfried Line, nor even Jim Reeves, and Have I Told You Lately That I Love You, but anything more modern than that was justa blur of ´boom-boom´ ´thump thump thump´ and ´la la la la´. Got half a point for Madness, but had no idea what the track was. Quite a shock and a laugh though. On the strength of it, we´ve formed another team for a quiz on 24th and a lady from a neighbouring table, who felt held back by her inadequate male friends, has forcibly joined us for said team so she can at some point taste success. That´ll be our doom then! Ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
