The mind bogglesI know there are a lot of new mix breed dogs being bred rightly or wrongly. We have Labrador X Poodle called Labradoodles The Queen has 3 Dorgies called Cider, Candy & Vulcan, what are Dorgies well they are Corgi X Dachshund But me mind really bogged when I saw this advert in the Derby Express free newspaper which is owned by The Derby Telegraph I am going to be naughty & put the telephone numbers in.... Staffy X pomeranian puppies, 6 weeks old, 2 boys & 2 bitches. Only small, Good Temperament. Good homes wanted £200 - tel 01332 486080 or 07583264566. Does anyone know what this "new mix breed" is called & look like ? I know "accidents" happen & there will always be mix breed dogs, I have own some in me 30 plus years of owning dogs. My question is do humans have the right to play GOD & create new breeds when we have thousands of unwanted puppies/dogs in rescue homes wanting a forever home. From the topic: Comments Post a comment in this discussion: 22 Jan 2012 16:28 This sort of stuff really annoys me but no doubt the situation will continue as long as people are willing to pay high prices for these "designer crossbreeds" (for want of a better phrase). Maybe if the "breeders" had to pay a special tax on the money they make, it would reduce their profits and make breeding such pups less attractive. The tax should be used to help rescue centres who end up cleaning up the mess these greedy, conscienceless people leave behind. 21 Jan 2012 10:52 Might be called Stommies? REALLY hope the mum is the staffy as the other way around would be just dangerous. Don´t understand why people do it, especially when something like two thirds of dogs in rescue centres are staffies or staffy crosses. That coupled with the bad press that staffies get because of some idiots in control of their leads means even more dogs into rescue or destroyed - very sad :-( 19 Jan 2012 19:03 So do I Vena, its just the idea of a Staffy X Pomeranian that´s gets me, am finding it hard to imagine what the pups wil look like 19 Jan 2012 13:17 l have no idea what they would be called, and just hope the mother was the staffie, as long as their is demand people will breed. |
