My Blog 09 Jan 2008 21:13 09 Jan 2008 21:13 Hello everyone, I'm sorry it's been so long but mum has been so busy, she hasn't had any time for dictation! It's been a very exciting time for me. Since I last spoke to you all, I've been on holiday with my humans! We went to a place called the Isle of Wight in the car and on a ferry. I thoughts ferries had wings and wands but mum said that was a fairy! I am a silly spaniel at times! The Isle of Wight was amazing as it had lots of different coloured crumbly stuff all round it that I could dig into. I spent lots of time digging holes to push pebbles into! We stayed in a lovely big house called a hotel in a town called Ventnor and the woman who owned it was really nice! She gave me my own blanket to put on mum and dad's bed so that I could sleep with them! Last week, dad took me to the common and I went nto all the ponds because I have learn how to swim now! In one of the ponds was a stupid white bird, I don't think it was very well cos I crept up on it real quiet and spaniel like! I managed to catch it by the head and carry it back to show dad! He said it was a seagull and told me off for bringing it out of the pond, but I couldn't leave it there as it was getting all wet and cold! 0 Comments 24 Jun 2007 22:53 24 Jun 2007 22:53 Mum and Dad took me to Snowdonia the other week. They let me share this strange, big blue thing that made lots of funny noises. They called it a tent. THere were some other people with us in other tents. One of them was called Ben as well, it did make life confusing! We had a lot of fun together and played an excellent game of chase at the campsite, I don't know how it started, all I did was pick up a bunch of Bananas! We were only there for a weekend, but on Saturday we got in the car and drove into the mountains. I've never seen a mountain before, I didn't realise they made such big parks! We walked for hours, it was brilliant. I got ever so dirty and lots of people said they wanted to borrow me so I could pull them to the top of the mountain. Cheek! When we got back to the bottom of Snowdon, there was a huuuuuuge lake and as I was feeling a bit hot and bothered, I decided a paddle was in order. Human Ben thought it would be fun to throw a stone in the water for me, well, I to make him happy didn't I? In I dutifully jumped, but, Oh my! What a shock! Not only had someone removed the bottom of the lake, they also hadn't put any warm water in! It was a very unpleasant surprise! To make things worse, in my shock I forgot how to swim! Mum said she was going to come in and get but I managed to swim valiently back to shore. Ben tried to make things up by throwing a stick but I let him know exactly what he could do with that! Like I going to fall for that trick twice! 0 Comments 25 May 2007 20:22 25 May 2007 20:22 Dad just took me to the common. My tummy is still poorly and dad's not happy about cleaning up after me, but he does it anyway. He's such a good man! There was someone walking ferrets on the common this evening and someone else exercising a horse! I didn't think much of the ferrets, they don't bark much! The things you find, eh? 0 Comments 24 May 2007 20:27 24 May 2007 20:27 Oh my, I'm absolutely exhausted today. I wasn't very well yesterday so dad made me chicken and pasta which I had for breakfast this morning. This afternoon mum and I went to check out the woodpecker nest, (dad's not very happy because someone keeps trying to block it up with stones.) On the way back we stopped at the pond to see if we could see the swan that's been there for the last couple of days, it wasn't! But, there was a rather stupid moorhen, right on the edge of the pond. I just had to chase it. Only drawback was that it went into the water. No problem, I'm a Spaniel! i'm made for water! Apparently mum isn't, or that's some of the words she said while sitting in the grass and moving rapidly towards the mud! I just don't understand her sometimes. How come it's alright for to sit in a big white thing pouring water on her head, but not to come in the pond with me? Humans! Hello editor! 0 Comments My Message Wall 29 Mar 2008 19:10 Hello Ringo, I'm always up for making new friends, although you may have seen that I haven't posted on here much recently. I have recently learnt to swim and love trying to steal my mums food! Mum and I can also be found on a facial networking site where they have a 'dogbook'. We go on Cyberspaniels too which is for Spaniels only! Sorry, Kitty! Look forward to hearing from you soon, Ben. 29 Mar 2008 16:28 Hello Ben, My name is Ringo and I am a "nutty" Springer Spaniel who will be one years old on April 19th! I am from Liverpool and my Mom and Dad love me very much, although I can sure be a handful sometimes! They say I have too much energy, but I just love to romp through the woods and fields retreiving my toy. I also love to run through the puddles and get throroughly wet and muddy! I hopw we can become friends and share our adventures! Love, Ringo P.S. I have a sister called Kitty and I love chasing her except when she hisses and swats me! | |
