Not logged in Owner | My Interests This is my foster dog Spud, he arrived this evening, he came from a home with 19 other terrier type dogs. He has not been walked for 2 years nor seen the light of day really bless his heart! He has Just had his manhood removed today so he has a collar on at the mo,(3/12/08) I will update in the morning with all the extras but so far Sadie and spud are doing ok with each other. He is fantastic with Sadie and plays ball with my Taylor, he does like to sit on her lap but she likes that just as much as him He will need a bit of help with the toilet training front but hes already learning to go to the door when he needs a wee. As he never went outside he just went were he wanted in his previous home. He is not really sure what to make of outside yet also he has only just been castrated he is only having a small amount of exercise which will gradually increase, but so far on lead no problem at all although he doesnt really want to walk! He is approx 2/3yrs old. Settles well but does have a funny 5 mins every now and then were he likes to bomb around the front room then just lie down again!!! Spud really is a sweetheart and deserves a lovely home. Spud collar on as he trys to take his stiches out My Blog 14 Jan 2009 13:00 Message from the new owners! Spud is now Benson! Hold up... to busy playing with Benson to look at the internet... how much he has improved my life already!!!My Camera has ran out of batteries - honest He slept all night with no accidents - bless him! Today he has been out to my parents farm and was greated by our old lurcher herbie (greyhound / wolfhound), my parents, brother and his 2 children 1 & 4 yrs. Benson had a whale of a time - such a happy dog, playing with everyone. Brilliant with the 2 children, Herbie (running through his legs) and an instant hit with the supposed grown ups. He wasn´t too sure about the ducks, geese and chickens, but loved all the smells and seeing him running through the fields was an absolute joy. Benson has totally stolen me & Louise´s hearts - as well as my parents! He went on the beach today for an hour and had a whale of a time. Benson loves it at the farm. A few little accidents, but they are as much my fault as Benson´s - we´re both learning! Benson is such a good boy - almost no problems at all now, really learning quickly. Getting on so well with everyone. The only problem is I can talk about nothing else and work is so difficult with him to play with as an alternative. He did not want to leave at first which was quite upsetting for me but in the end he trotted off! Best of luck to spud in his new home :o) 5 Comments 08 Dec 2008 15:35 Well spud has been here 5 days now and seems to have got his paws right under the table! lol He has got his own bed and toys and bowls for the first time ever! So he is feeling quite spoilt at the mo! Spud went for his first proper walk ever on sat, at first he was quite scared but we strolled along untill Sadie decided it was play time!!! So off they ran together (Spud goes on a long line) we walked for about a hour and a half and he loved every min of it! You could see the excitment on his face! Sadie and spud act like they have been best friends for years, they sit together, eat together, play together! However Sadie loves to play rough and i did worry about her being a bit much for him!!! Yes well i dont worry now Spud bombs over to sadie lickes her nose then dashes about the room!! If he didnt like the rough that comes next he wouldnt repeatedly do it i´m sure!! Spud is a proper little charactor and i feel i am going to fail as a foster mummy (John already wants to keep him!) and end up with the latest addition to the mad house!!!
