Ebony

I am a good girl
yes I am
I look after our cats
whenever I can

Tonight a strange cat
into our garden did come
it scared Baby Elvis
you should of seen him run

So up the garden I went
with a woof woof get out of here
his tail was large and fluffy
and his eyes looked rather queer

He spat into my face
so I woofed at him again
then he made a noise
as if he were in pain

He jumped onto the fence post
then he ran away
so I told my Baby Elvis
its ok now come and play

I dont think he will come back
for I told him good, GET GIT
mommie says I AM A GOOD GIRL
cos I listened when she said sit

My home is not my own
the kittens have taken over
I’m seriously thinking hard
of taking out a p.o.v.a

They jump upon my head
then grab me by my toes
and if I don’t move quick
they bite me on the nose

They try to eat my dinner
but i cannot have theirs
and Rigby the little monster
has taken my place upon the stairs

When I go out in the garden
they race me to the gate
they really are quite naughty
I wish that they would wait

They sit and guard the rabbit
that’s were I do draw the line
for always the rabbits safety
has been a job of mine

At the end of the day
all is not doom and gloom
for they are put to bed
and I go to mommy’s room.

My ears aren’t up
My ears aren’t down
I’ve one eye that’s blue
One eye that brown
I’m tri in colour,
Black, white and grey
I’ve spots on my legs
That are here to stay
My tail has a kink,
On the end I’ve a curl
It has to be said
I’m a beautiful girl
I never get bored
I’ve countless new toys
I like the ones best
That makes lots of noise
My family is large
With four cats I can play
Then there’s the black one
She’s nasty all day
The rabbits are quiet
They’re kept in their hutch
I have been told
That I must not touch
I sit for my diner
And stop at the road
I’m learning my manners
As I listen when told
My best friend is Cassie
A terrier aged two
She’s helping me
To learn what to do
Some times I forget
To go out for a wee
My mommy is patient
She really loves me
I’ve a blue bed for night
A maroon one for day
This one comes with me
When at Sarahs I stay
I’m a beautiful girl
Happy as can be
With a beautiful name
And that’s EBONY.

I’m full of confidence, oh so bold
All grown up now I’m six months old
I sit, I lie, I fetch and drop
I know my way to the corner shop
I give my paw, the other one too
In one hand I can give both to you
My mommy says I’m as good as gold
I’m a little treasure and I’m six months old

I bark at the door to guard our flat
And fetch the mail, what do you think of that
I can balance a biscuit on my nose
I’m learning to walk on my tippy toes
I play roll over and jump thru a ring
I suppose if I tried I could even sing
When I was born they broke the mould
I’m one in a million and I’m six months old

I’ve an aunty Pam, an Uncle Jim
An aunty Jay and an aunty Kim
An aunty Pat, an aunty Ann
An Uncle Eddie and an aunty Jan
I’m smothered with love from my family
But the greatest comes from dear mommy
I’m put on a pedestal, I’ve love untold
We’re a perfect team now I’m six months old.

hi ebony baby...my dogs love pig ears and tails too...i also give them to my homeless dog friends out by the trainyards...they come running for them..

Lovely poems! I recently found a new home for my dog Freki. She had one brown, one blue eye. We loved her dearly but with my disabilities I wasn´t giving her the very best home she could have. You´re a lovely girl, and good job of taking care of mommy!
