I'm only a little baby and still a bit scared of mummy ! I cry when she comes near me in case she'll hurt me, but I know she won't really, I'm getting used to being handled. That bird, what's his name ? Pom-pom, who lives above me, he sets me off with his screaming ! I wish he'd keep the noise down. I'm a lovely little girl, with brown velvety fur and white rings round my eyes and a white line under my chin, and a little pink nose !

Worth the wait

Well, you know when I said our first attempt was a very successful one ? Turns out I was counting my babies before they were cooked ! Although it was very successful in that we got on really well straight away with no fighting, unfortunately as we were both inexperienced, a pregnancy never came of it. But we waited a little while and tried again, and our 13 beautiful babies came into the world on Friday night, 2nd May. They're all beautiful. When they were first born they looked like aliens, but now they're getting fur and scrambling around, they're cheeky little things !
Mummy's so proud of us, she says I'm a great mummy and doesn't know how I manage to feed them all ! They should open their little eyes later this week and will see the world for the first time. So exciting !

I've been meeting with Moomin for a few weeks now, here and there, and he lives only next door, so we see a lot of each other. Tonight was our very first attempt at mating now that I am old enough and it was a very successful one ! Mummy was so surprised and proud of us, and hopefully I am soon to be Mummy Lilac. Some of my babies already have homes secured with Mummy's friends so I'm glad that they'll be going to nice places, but I plan to make the most of my time with them when I get it !
