Harvey

I was born on the 30th of september 2007 and lucky enough for me my breeder was able to find me a nice family home with love and i was happy there, but through no falt of my own i had to leave i´m not sure why all i know is that i had to go and live at another home.
At this new home it was all very different there was no love for me there and i was just used as a stud dog, i can remember being hungry and my coat had started to grow long and wirey like a german shepherds i think i may have been left out side but i cant remember, anyway i had made my human money and it was time to move on again so i was advertised as a stunning male pug.
some days later i was taken indoors and put on my lead, there was a knock at the door my human opened it and a funny fat man stood there asking to have a look at me, i was so pleased to see him i wheel spinned on the laminate floor as i tried to get to him and say " please, please take me home with you" . my human wanted alot of money for me but i was in such a bad state that this man did not want to pay the amount she was asking but didnt want to leave me there so after much talking they agreed on a price and i was put in the back of the car. i was so relieved to be out of there.
After a few hours in the car i arrived at a house and was taken inside where a lady and 3 children stood waiting for a wonderful looking male pug to be the companion of there very pretty lady pug who was very down in the dumps because she had not long lost her partner through illness, she called him her white worrior so i new i had a lot to live up to.
So Anyway they all looked at me and there jaws just dropped, "what is that" i herd the lady say,"he´s got long hair, oh my god look at him" and then she shouted" i sent you to get a pug and you come back with that",well i must have looked so sad that they took pitty on me. lady Tori as i had to call her was so spoilt she had toys, beds and even ate her dinner out of a bowl, she used to look down her nose at me but after a few months of her blanking me she came round.
This new lady had a kind face, I new she didnt love me like she did the white worrior or tori but she was nice to me, she even put my food in a bowl, at first i wasnt sure what this thing was and she would put the food in her hand and fed me that way,personly i preffered to eat off the floor. she even gave me my very own blue teddy toy this was alien to me i had no idea what this was, she would throw it but i didnt know she wanted me to go and get it back for her. but when i did she gave me so much praise i knew it was the right thing to do.
i was always very good i never barked as this was not aloud at my other home and so had forgotten how to do it, so when i first barked it was a bit of a strange sound but they all looked at me with suprised wide eyes and a great big smile´s this is when i new i was safe and that i had fallen on my feet although i new i still had a long way to go with putting on weight but i was getting there i even understood after a while that i didnt have to mount tori all the time this took a long time to learn but now i know.
Now my life is wonderful, my human mum looks at me with love in her eyes and tori lets me curl up in her basket with her on a cold winters day to watch columbo on uk gold, im the weight i should be and i never go hungry my coat is how it should be and i have a basket full of toys ,i have days out with my mum and the other pugs, we have long walks along the beach and at the new forest, but the most important thing is i love my mum and my mum loves me and says we will never be parted because im her little boy.
my mum has shown a before and after picture of me (in album) im sure you will agree im a handsome chap now and full of confidence, my mum says the death of her white worrior rourke is not such a waste because she saved me as she thinks i was proberbly about a month away from death my self, her rourk had a short life but he had a good life where as my life was not so good and it has been saved and for this i am truley thankful.
