My Interests

My main interests are sleeping, eating and breaking wind - a typical male really!
I love being outside, feeling the wind in my hair, and searching for the odd rabbit or mouse. I don't like tractors, loud bangs, or men.
I love my Mum, and enjoy my belly being rubbed before I get out of bed in the morning!

My story

I came to my new home via a greyhound rescue in Ireland - Kerry Greyhound Connection. My Mum is a volunteer, and had waited two (long) years before the time was right to give a home to a retired hound.
I used to race, but after only 6 races I was retired, because I was no good. The rescue saved me from being destroyed.
I was very shy when Mum took me home, and everyone soon realised that I was terrified of men - Dad wasn't impressed! It has taken 9 months of patience and understanding, but I can now stay in the same room as a visitor, without running up the stairs to hide, and I will eventually go up to them and say hello.
6 months after I arrived, Mum went back to Kerry and brought home Hazel. She is a lunatic, but has helped to bring me out of my shell. I think she is fab!
The next fear I have to conquer is the beach and that noisy blue stuff with waves!!

Hi, I am Ellen and me and my family have a greyhound called Zico and he was bred in Ireland.
He retired at 5 and we have taken him on.
