I have never raced but spent nine years with an abusive family who neglected me and then sent me to a greyhound rescue centre when the family split up. I was emaciated and flea infested as well as having rotten teeth and I had never had any yearly jabs or health checks. When my new mum and dad took me to the vet, it was found that I had atrial fibrillation which is a heart condition....I am now on daily medication to keep me alive but I am doing very well now for an oldie.....
