My friends cat was mauled & killed in its own back garden by a staffie, which managed to get into the garden through a neighbours weak fence, no matter what my friends Husband & son did to get the dog off their cat [ having heard the dog go for the cat & its screams ] had any effect , eventually they used the hose pipe on it , but even then it took a time to let go of the poor cat 10 Mar 2010 19:02 Sue well done that was a great video, really wish i´d come to add my 2cents. 05 Mar 2010 14:58 Member Removed hey sue, great video. i´m happy to put a face to the name. dizzy is BEAUTIFUL. just to let you know, the banner to STOP DOGFIGHTING NOW is made up, and will be in my friends corner for his fight on april 17th and for all the rest of his fights. now if i could just do something about those punks in the park................ 03 Feb 2010 15:54 I FINALLY got a chance to watch this video.....BRAVO Sue for standing up and doing such a great vid and YES.....we should have a documentary made about the positive side of Bull´y ownership.....I´ve tried to get TV production teams interested but alas, very little ever come´s of it.....it would appear that negative programmes about such breeds are much preferable and it so annoy´s me. Maybe the Ed would consider putting together a longer PetStreet video advocating positive, responsible Bull´y breed ownership......I for one would certainly come forward to lend a hand and stand up alongside fellow Bull´y breed owner´s to support our breed and speak against those humans that ´demonise´ them and other such breeds. A standing ovation Sue.....well done again. 22 Jan 2010 09:39 i have a staffy i agree with you 100% as a dog trainer i see it all the time the abuse and training for fighting. Staffys are the best breedto have with children.Like yourself i live in the lambeth area of london and i get fed up with seeing all the same things going on like you do.. and im tired of people beanding my dog dangrous when she would run at the first sight of a fight. well done for making a video i would def do the same if it helped people to understand its not the dogs at fault its the owner. well done mike x 31 Oct 2009 08:33 this is really difficult, i own a staffy and a cat. They get on now but after months of gently introductions 28 Oct 2009 18:56 My friends cat was killed by a staffy in its own front garden. When I did dog training, I found the staffy´s so easy, they are a lovely breed. But we are looking at the wrong end of the lead. I now don´t walk my dogs in my locale park because of these owners. 03 Oct 2009 12:46 Recently I lost my cat It was mauled to death by a staffy It shook my cat like a toy I witnessed this and was devastated that this could happen 30 Sep 2009 18:50 well sue brillll vid .. and although i dont have a woooof at the moment i can see where you are coming from a lot more needs 2 be done .. well done mate xxxxxx 30 Sep 2009 18:38 Wow Sue, I really hope people watch this and really take note. I´ve never owned a staffy and only have cats at the moment, but I too was told by the people who microchipped our old westie about staffies being known as the Nanny Dog. They were registered breeders of staffies, so they knew their stuff. I sincerely wish you so much luck with trying to make people listen, and to be more responsible dog owners. Great vid hun xx 29 Sep 2009 19:52 well done and i totally agree with you and the stigma people have about staffys my baby boy is 9week old now,if someone elses dog attacked my boy i dont know what id do ? and its true no one does nothing about this and it is getting out of hand now, even my friends were saying before i got my staffy how bad a dog they are, my reply was dogs are how they are brought up and trainned regardless of what breed they are my Ceejay is just adorable loving and good natured and will never be a nasty dog. i hate the way peop;e stigmatize this breed and know nothing about them i keep saying blame the owner not the the dog, these idiots never get caught or punished and should never ever get to own a staffy or anyother dog. |
