I grew up with 3 cats- William, Rosie and Hairy and when I was 13 we got a patterdale cross terrier called Dizzy. I have had 7 rats over the years- Scampi, Chips, Sparky, Starsky, Hutch, Marmasettes and Mew, and I have just rescued a 10week old kitten which I named Loomie. I always try and get my animals from rescue centres and would urge ANYONE to do the same. Loomie and Dizzy both came from the same place, Old Farm Animal Sanctuary in Grittenham nr Chippenham. Hairy was a stray that we fed and he just stayed with us and Sparky the rat wasn't wanted by his owners so we took him in. The one thing I will not tolerate is cruelty to animals and I would have to take the law into my own hands if I knew anyone who was miss treating any kind of animal.
