My Interests
Hi, my family are mad bully fans we own a beauiful solid red bull terrier called Ruben. Hes a typical naugthy funny, lazy, intelligent(only when he wants to be) bully boy.
We do show him and he does quite well but mainly he is just one of the family. After having this breed there is no way we could never own another breed (or not own a bt) there is something very special about these dogs. This breed is not for everyone they can be very hard work and try your patience they need a firm hand but when you master them and get to know their ways its brilliant, they love you to bits, become very loyal and will protect the family unit, the relationship they have with kids is amazing. They are a people´s dog getting on better with humans than other dogs but saying that Ruben seems to get on with loads of other dogs hes never been nasty to anything since we´ve had him.
They can suffer from dry ichy skin which you have to keep on top of.
These dogs have such bad press which just is´nt fair, alot of the time i feel it´s the owners who are at fault because they just don´t know how to handle the breed or they don´t read up on the breed they are going to take on as their pet that´s why loads of bull terriers end up in rescue or are put to sleep!!!!!
We call Ruben the marmite dog you either love them or hate them!!!!!

Hi Darren,
We all fine thanks, I know what you mean when me and my sister are walking basil people pull their kids away and cross the road from him and its stupid as he just plods along not interested at all.Hes actually collasped three times now and just stopped breathing while out running and my sisters bf has had to blow down his nose and pump on his chest to get him breathing again, but people just walk past and dont bother helping or saying anything he usually recovers after aday or two poor chap.Theres a piccie of him in my photos he loves traffic cones and tries to take them home everytime he sees one.xxxxx

Hi Darren oh qwell you can´t win them all!!!!!, I have always had the attitude that it´s only a dog show!!!! there will be another to tryyour luck at, as long as you know the best dog will be going home with you then why worry.
Yes I am very proud of all my dogs have done anf been very lucky to have the dogs I have and to have bred some top winning dogs, I have enjoyed all the winning we have done and fun we have had, at the end of the day though I get as much fun cuddled up with them on the sofa in front of the TV, or walking round our paddocks enjoying a run.
Where are you next ? hope you enjoy your day and perhaps it will bw a red one next time,

Hi Darren thanks for the message, shame you missed Midland Counties but you did well at the weekend,.
I am not showing at the moment as waiting for a hip replacement, yes Pugs are my breed (used to be Danes aas well ), My affix is Patsgang if you google it you will see what my breeding has done, I bred the top Pug pup 2002,top Pug 2003, Two international champions both of which have been best of breed at Crufts, one of which went best in show at the German equivalant of Crufts, not to bad a record for a small breeder where all the pugs are pets first, show dogs second.
Will look forward to hearing how Ruben gets on at the next few shows, the last time I was at Maidstone for a show Iwas judgeing my two top breeds, Danes and Pugs and it was my birthday, best way to celebrate!!!
