We´ve seen some animal stars here at Hubble & Hattie, but Amigo is ... well ... cool just doesn´t cover it. He´s the canine equivalent of a young Clint Eastwood.

Hi Amanda,

I hope you wont mind me contacting you.

I have a friend in Troon who recently bought some terrapins from a pet shop in the town. She was disgusted with the condition of the pet shop (which has since been reported to the SSPCA) which is why she rescued them from their 'filthy tank'. They are now happily living in a Hagen tropaquarium 88 with filter & lights. There are 4 of them. The largest is 12cm on the undershell and the others are 6cm.
Her partner suffers from asthma and the humidity is making this worse so she is now looking for a new owner for Terry & Co.
The person must have experience of looking after amphibians.

She has other rescue animals - small furries so this isnt a whimsical re-homing plea.
I see you're an amphibian owner so I write to ask whether you know anyone in Scotland, and who is experienced in amphibia, who may be able to help out.

Thank you

best wishes,
Rosie

Hi there

I read you response earlier to Angela Holmes, the woman whose cat was murdered, where you refer to the Rainbow Bridge. I had never known exactly what it meant and I'm e-mailing to thank you for the post (I hope you don't mind me e-mailing).

My beautiful baby died suddenly last month at 8 years old. I came home from work and he was just lying there in one of his favourite sleeping places. At least he did not have to suffer and, a few weeks on, I am able to think fondly of all the great times we had and I know that he had a great life (albeit short) and that he was loved and well looked after. He had his own little character and he was able to read my mood really well - if I was worried about something, he would come and lie on me and follow me around the flat. He never woke me in the morning intentionally, although sometimes his purring would wake me as he sat patiently on my bedside cabinet waiting for me to get up and feed him.

I am lucky, however, as I have Rocky, who was part of the same litter, and I now look upon him as an extra special little cat.

Anyway, I am ranting..... all I really wanted to say is thanks for writing about the Rainbow Bridge. I was in tears earlier on (and am starting again now!!!) at the thought of my baby waiting for me, and I can almost see him running towards me as he recognises me. I am not religious in the least, but I think what you wrote carries an amazing sentiment and I would absolutely love it to be true.

Thanks, Caroline.
